Karakteristik Lengkung Kaki (Flat Foot) dan Hubungannya dengan Indeks Kesehatan Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara karakteristik lengkung kaki (flat foot) dengan Indeks Kesehatan Siswa Indonesia (IKSI) pada jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Permasalahan yang ada adalah kesenjangan antara dampak flat foot terhadap kesehatan dan partisipasi siswa dengan kurangnya perhatian terhadap isu ini dalam konteks pendidikan jasmani. Flat foot bukan hanya kelainan bentuk kaki, tetapi juga merupakan faktor risiko yang dapat mempengaruhi status kesehatan muskuloskeletal siswa, yang berpotensi menurunkan kualitas hidup, partisipasi dalam pembelajaran, dan produktivitas mereka di masa depan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasi. Data dikumpulkan dari 134 siswa kelas IX di SMP Negeri 5 Semarang (N = 134). Karakteristik flat foot diukur melalui analisis jejak kaki dan diklasifikasikan (High arch, Normal arch, Low arch), sedangkan IKSI diukur menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala skor 1-4. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan SPSS 25. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman’s rho menunjukkan hubungan negatif yang signifikan dengan kekuatan sedang-kuat antara kedua variabel (koefisien = -0,638; p=0,000). Artinya, semakin rendah lengkung kaki (kondisi flat foot), cenderung semakin rendah pula indeks kesehatan siswa. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah karakteristik flat foot merupakan determinan signifikan bagi capaian IKSI. Hal ini menyoroti perlunya memperhatikan kesehatan kaki sebagai komponen penting dari kebijakan kesehatan sekolah dan program pendidikan inklusif.
